I simply cannot believe the article posted on this site about Harry Potter. It astounds me in this age people can continue to be so afraid of each other's shadows.

Harry Potter IS A FICTIONAL BOOK. It is not encouraging children to turn each other into toads - it is merely being used for entertainment. JK makes no reference whatsoever to 'devil worship' or the books being 'against God'. We are entitled to freedom of speech and Harry Potter is not hurting anyone. You give me proof that children have turned to witchcraft from reading it - currently you have just said they MAY.

5 million innnocent women were killed in the 16th Century because their 'links' to witchcraft, I find it astounding 5 centuries later we can be continuing to burn books because of this. Literature, no matter what your opinions on it are is something we should cherish. Getting a different perspective and challenging our own views can really benefit us.

In this new age children should be open to make their own views on what they want to believe in - not be endocrinated by Christian beliefs. I can think of far worse things children could be reading - like the Bible.
