Dear Forum,
I am writing to you after reading your section on "False Teachings." When I got to the end, I felt that I l should add a remark made by Anne Graham, Billy Graham's daughter. I must paraphrase because the remark came to me second hand. When asked, apparently on the "Today" show, how God could have allowed the events of 9-11, Anne Graham answered something like this: We have taken Him out of our schools, and out of our lives (in general) and rejected God, so God, being the gentleman that he is, simply withdrew from us. I regret that I don't know the quote exactly. I found it in my email box along with additional remarks that I felt were misinterpretations of scripture used in a scolding fashion. I was offended to have God described as a Gentleman, a concept that I must have missed when reading the Bible or scolds like Deidrich Bonhoffer and Paul of Tarsus, Martin Luther King and Isaiah!
