Unfortunately I would rather take the word of anthropologists and Scientists who uncover more and more evidence of the original paths of the pagans rather than old short stories translated by a shovenist.
Actually there was a documentary that showed the pagan religion dated back well before the birth of christ and was actually the foremost religion before the indoeuropians invaded from the east. It would seem that the decline of paganism and the belief of a goddess began to diminish when these warring invaders began to take over. Of course they were warrior men with warrior sky gods, as they conquered, beliefs and goddesses began to fall down the list. Perhaps it is easier to believe blindly in something than to really research it and know the truth. The arrogance that there is one god and that he is a man and that women are the weaker species is appauling. It was later that christians began the genicide of so called witches or wiccans or wise women. Yet in the fall of King Saul's empire he fell back upon a wise woman to foresee his future. This is in the bible. Samuel 28 7
The other point one should remember is that today's bible at least the King James edition was interpreted by King James' own priests and he himself was a shovenist who blamed women for everything that went wrong, this is a well known fact passed on by scholars of that era. So who knows what the actual bible said, we must take the word of a mideavil shovenist who beheaded his wives. I think not. For centuries many wars can be found to have started by arrogant men who wish to preach their religion as the one true. Well now perhaps the crimes of the church are catching up with them. SO what you call new age I call the ancient age and whom ever labeled wicca as new age perhaps meant it to mean as the rebirth of an old way of tradition and that this truly will be a new age of thinking and understanding. I truly hope so. CJ P.S. My intentions here are not offend however I nitice that one response in general has been erased by someone sorry but perhaps to this person the truth really does hurt. T.Y. CJ
