Well one misconception is that buddhist don't neserceraill mean that to live is to suffer but that you can not achieve full happiness in life. As that article asked and i asked that myself yes you do have to give up attachment to even enlightment to ahcieve it. Don't christians believe that you can not truely be happy on earth too though, if so then why care about heaven? I personally believe in karma. Almost all religions do to some extent No buddha didn't die for anyone sins his gift was trying to enlighten everyone by his teachings. Of course buddhism does not believe in the concept of original sin like christanity
