Subject: Fairies of the New Age

Here is something that has never been discussed here (at least as far as I can recall), and something I want to turn into a future article for the Spotlight site.

I have just finished reading a New Age book on the subject of fairies. I am sure some people here may think that this is a bit ridiculous but, even so, I felt that as there are people out there who now believe in them and seek to communicate with them, it is worth researching.

I often find with books like this though, that when you read through the beginning, you have a lot of fluffy vague stuff that sort of numbs your brain, then, near the end of the book, the more meaty stuff comes out.

This, book is called: “Fairy Magic” and the most disturbing part of the book encourages people to communicate with fairies. It is also very revealing as to the nature of the fairies. It often speaks about how aggressive and mischievous they can be.

Friend of mine, one of those people not prone to exaggeration or sensationalism, told me of an experience that he and a friend of his had as teenagers. Both were going to a nightclub. Passed an entry and saw a small triangular faced humanoid creature scuttling about. They both saw it and it saw them. With this they ran. After some discussion, they decided to go back to make sure that they had not imagined it. When they returned, they saw that it was still there and trying to hide from them. They ran off again terrified.

I have no doubt that people see these things, as they see ghosts, ET’s, angels, and other entities. This is where science falls flat as it can’t account for all of the unexplained supernatural encounters that people have. What I do doubt though is the ‘claims’ of all these beings. As far as I can determine, all these things are really one and the same kind of being. The Bible calls them unclean spirits, or demons. All of them seek to lead people into things that draw away from God, and enslave.

I have more to add to this, but have run out of time. I would love others feedback on this and their own thoughts, theories, etc.
