I'd agree a lot of books are some what fluffy. i will admitt i hate the way a lot of books have cheesey spells laid out like silverraven wolf. However, what part of these books do you consider to be fluffy? I don't think they are all as totally fluflly as you think but i think some of it is perhaps that you are already have certain set biasis because you are christian so certain things strike you as more important than others. PLus your already looking at these books with a somewhat of a skeptical attitude because you believe that they are demons. Thus it is easier to ingore certain things and hold more onto the facts which confrim your current stance. I believe that their are a wide variety of creatures dragons, faieries etc. and just like with people i think that they have a wider variety of personalities. Some are good and other are evil yes but, i do not think they are all evil. Just as humans are complex creatures with with complex personalities why shouldn't spiritual beings be as well? Just because something is mischevious does not mean it is evil. Is it really hard to believe that their are probably many astral plains that unless perhaps we have developed the ability that we cannot percieve. I mean even we don't experince the world as it really is. We only experince the world as best as our mind periceves it. Their are tons of things we do not have the ability to see. I mean on an overall spectrum we can see color but i mean like we can't see infared, radiowaves etc. I might not have worded that the best but i think you know what i mean. The human perception of the world is very limited because of our senses. With all this in mind surely i think their is more to the world than we see. Secondly i think it be naive to think we are the only life force and spiritual beings to exist on this planet. THird consider the fact that any god that is omnipotent would have the power to create thousands of universes and not just ours. If he created ours why not create thousands of others. If he created one it seems logical. While we may not know how to or posses the current ability to thier is nothing that would say that these other universes might not be inhibitied by other beings with the capabilities to travel to other universes.
