Hi Silverfox,

Don't get anything overly weird when looking at Lavey's pic. He attempted to intenially look creepy, and of course, this comes across in his photgraphs. He created a whole persona and basically gave people what they expected from one who established the Church of Satan. He was a showman and very theatrical.

Some of his followers thought that he was in it all for the money in the end and didn't take satanism seriousely. This is one of the reasons why Michael Aquino broke away from Lavey and established the Temple of Set.

In fact, I am reading about all of this at the moment in a book I am about half way through.
