Subject: Welcome & Board Rules

Welcome to BSL Watch.

This board was designed to help aid in the monitoring and discussing of how to effectively fight various dog laws that will adversely affect responsible dog owners.

Before you post, please follow a few simple rules:

1) No grandstanding. We are all in this fight together. You may post URLs to your own BSL sites or to others. However, there will be no claims that one organization is better than another UNLESS IT IS KNOWN THAT THE ORGANIZATION SECRETIVELY BACKS BSLs and this can be proven (i.e. PeTA is notorious for backing BSLs but has yet to openly admit to it to any organization that does. But read Ingrid Newkirk and you will see part of the agenda to eventually end all pet ownership one breed at a time.

2) No name calling. Anything that makes you look bad undermines the intent of ending BSLs. All it takes is one person to be able to give one lawmaker the opinion "Look at what type of individual that breed of dog attracts" and all efforts are in danger.

3) Please when you post, try to verify the law or proposed law and include community/council/government contacts. There are often rumors of BSLs that are unsubstantiated; we need to substantiate them before posting.

4) Help each other out. Again, working against each other does nothing to help the cause. We need to work together regardless of the organization.
