First of all, go watch Anchorman. It's probably out of most major theaters by now so you may have to slum it at the cheap seats, but there's no real special effects magic happening here so who cares. This movie is so funny I was in tears, and my ribs hurt from laughing so hard.

Second, Connecticut is a gorgeous little slice of America. I spent my weekend with friends in Norwalk and it was really very nice. The beaches there are good to look at, though after seeing it up close I doubt I'd ever go swimming in the Long Island Sound. One thing I did notice, though, was that you had to be upper-middle class just to survive in that town and it's surrounding areas. I saw a one-bedroom apartment advertised for $1200 . . . and that was considered a bargain. How scary - how much money do you have to make just to cover yoru cost of living in a place like that? Give me 'da Burgh with it's low housing costs and blue-collar goodness any day. If only Pittsburgh had a beach . . .
