First issue, one way to break it down

Liberal would tend to believe that through the cultivation of the mind we can come up with better ways to live not bound by orthadoxy in tradition and authority.

Conservatives would tend to believe we should stick to a more traditional approach would be a better way to live.

The problem with liberalism is that its unstable and since it usually does not really have a good feel of direction long term its easy to go down bad paths.

The problem with conservatism is that with any system there will be problems and those that lose out will not have much to change the situation.

Second issue.

The consultants something to show for what they charge.
