In reply to: Ray 's message, "Re: The Stupidy Surrounding George Bush - Amen!" on 23:11:57 06/16/04 Wed

Bush did cut taxes - the PERCENTAGE cuts made were LARGER for the lower income brackets than the higher ones, giving a LARGER PERCENTAGE tax cut to those with less expendable income. Here's where it stands now:

2003 Federal Income Tax (including rate changes from Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003):

Taxable Income (up to) Tax %

7,000 10%
28,400 15%
68,800 25%
143,500 28%
311,950 33%
over 35%

Gee whiz Ray. It looks like the rich are carrying the burden here - you care to argue with FACTS some more?

And thank-you, by the way, for using the price of milk as an example since it displays your utter (get it?) ignorance of the facts. The price of milk is going up because there are fewer new cows coming into the dairy business, increased demand for milk, and more importantly increased demand for cheese (making milk less desirable an end-product for dairy farmers). I know that liberals don't believe in economics outside of government influence, but this is the way the world works . . . cheese.
