Schlida, I think you are the most eloquent individual to grace the pages of this forum.

On to the examples you requested regarding the reasons corporations exist. Doubtlessly, most of what I could point out can easily be boiled down to raw numbers, which in turn boils further to profit of some kind for nearly all involved. I must, however, concede to your overall summation of why corporations exist; to generate profit.

First, corporations come into existence primarily because an individual is excited about a product that he has invented, and, has excited at least one other person to the point that capital investment is warranted. So the products that spur the initial phases of birth for corporations are typically seeded in some ideal held by their inventor. Usually, people make stuff to help other people. So, some corporations exist to help people.

Second, corporations exist to create a class of serfs for Morons to exploit (Tony gets credit for that one). I am just going to let everyone play with that idea. Maybe I will post more later.

Other than those two main reasons, you pretty much nailed all the other ones.. text book definitions as well as a couple idealogical ones.
