That's what happens when everyone east of America produces the hell out of a gun. You can get a legitimate WWII rifle for less than $100. If you want matched serial numbers, it'll probably cost you an extra $20. My brother-in-law got a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 produced in 1943 for $85. It even has a little hammer & sickle stamped on the receiver.

Don't buy Colt unless you want the name. You could probably find an Auto-Ordinance or Springfield Armory mil-spec 1911 for under $500 new.
