I didn't say it was the best weapon, just a good choice.

What if you have your P-14 and there are 8 guys (as stated above). Sorry, you're out of ammo on guy number 8. In a situation where the enemy is likely more than 1/2 of your ammo capacity, your attempt should be to disable them. A COM shot with a .45 will disable someone almost all the time. Of course this is alleviated by a second hand gun and the fact the enemy might not know how many rounds your mag can hold.
