Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

My rifles and my ammo are locked up seperately. Next year my oldest will be old enough to go hunting, so he will have to go through a gun safety course as well as a course on hunting. There's no such thing as a bad gun, just a bad person. All three of my kids know that the guns are totally off limits. When they reach the age requirement, my husband will take them out and teach them. My guess is the first time my son has to gut a deer, that will end hunting for him. I'm so strict about weapons, I don't allow realistic looking toy guns. It pisses them off, but it also keeps them safe. Too many mistakes have been made by realistic looking toy guns.
I don't like the idea of people carrying hand guns without a liscence to carry. I lived in Arizona for awhile and everyone carried a gun like it was a purse or something. I quickly moved back home to NY. Imagine feeling safer in NY than Arizona?
Tone, he's right. Lock your ammo and guns seperately. As much as you tell a child NO, curiosity will eventually get the better of them. My nephew got shot accidently by a friend when he was 20. His friends Dad was a cop and kept a spare on his dresser. You would think two 20 yr. olds would no better. Accidents happen. Lock them up. Please:)
I think we should have the right to defend ourselves in our own homes though. I know if an intruder were to break in, I would not hesitate to load my .22, but I think my Doberman would have it under control. I just love dogs that sneak up people they're about to bite.
And Bullock, what the hell took you so long babe??
The God King lives!
