Well, right there you invalidate Kharn's point (in a sense), but still stick to yours. Yes, a gun is more dangerous. So is a kitchen knife. How many people have been killed directly by a video game? "Hold still while I beat you with this CD of Half Life!!!"

A gun simply by its potential is more dangerous. This is why I don't lock up my video games, but I do lock up my ammo. You guys are missing one big point. Responsibility!!!

Just as I don't let my oldest son play violent video games (I let him play Halo, but only on Multiplayer on the same console because he loves to drive the Warthog), I don't let him play with my guns, and the only time he touches them is under my supervision. When he is holding a loaded gun, I am controlling the direction the gun is pointed in. All through it, I am stressing that he must respect fire arms. Guns are not something to be feared, and they are not toys.
