At least not that I heard. Our actions in Iraq our to show that the UN has the balls to follow through with its resolutions, even if the U.S., Britain, Australia, Poland, the Ukraine and some of the others providing direct military support (not that the political support and support of Saudi and Kuwait in allowing us to use their soil/air space isn't important) have to do it pretty much on our own.

As for Syria, Syria has been a pain in the butt for a long time. Terrorist groups operate freely in Syria, and Syria, like Lebanon have been shown to directly sponser terrorists on numerous occasions. We could start targeting Syria, but I don't know if it is a good idea. Those groups over there interpret anything as a war against Islam. Forget the fact that Saddam has invaded other Islamic countries, murdered millions of Muslims, and shown to be a complete liar and unable to hold his end of the bargain.
