We have no choice Khrony. Because we cannot afford not to act.

We must destabilize the funding of terrorism. Saudi Arabia is the major financier of terrorists.

This means we must pull the rug from under Saudi Arabia's ability to control the price and flow of oil in the Middle East. We will accomplish this by removing Saddam from power and taking control of the 2nd largest oil reserve in the world.

We must eliminate the Israel/Palistine conundrum to defuse the main source of our problems in the Middle East.

This means Jerusalem becomes a free zone with UN forces to police it and the institution of a demilitarized zone, also manned by UN troops (I suggest the use of French, Belgium, and German forces) that totally seperates the two states of Israel and Palistine.

We must destroy North Koreas and Irans nuclear programs through the use of force. I suspect we will make bombing strikes on both these countries similar to when Israel bombed Iraqs nuclear facility not too long ago.

I suspect that the U.S. is trying to make a deal with China, in regard to North Korea, that would eliminate our major concern of China becoming involved, in case we did in fact go to war with North Korea.

Any war with North Korea would be multi-national and more than likely would include Japan, South Korea, Australia, among many others.

As towards costs - we need to restructure our military. We need to double the size of all our special forces and cut the size of the Army.

We must close half our bases in Europe - we have 30 in Germany alone. Most of these are Cold War leftovers and serve no useful purpose any longer.

I would also suggest we cut foreign aid where it does not serve our best interests. Like the millions given to Yassir Arafat and the PLO, or aid to Israel for that matter.

I'm sure the are hundreds of other examples we could cut back spending on to facilitate paying for our increased military presence around the world.

The most cost effective method I can think of is to let the military do their job without interference from political pressure. For example, if former President Bush had let our military roll into Baghdad 11 years ago, we wouldn't be blowing millions of dollars to do it all over again now.
