Subject: Miss Madison 2019 results

Congratulations to all ten women who competed tonight for the title of Miss Madison 2019 at Madison East High School's theatre.

Crowned as Miss Madison 2019 was Kylie Breanne Thompson of Beloit, who was Miss Beloit 2015 and Miss Southern Lakes 2018.

Thompson performed a vocal "They Just Keep Moving the Line", an original song first featured in "The Fallout", the second episode of the second season of "Smash" in talent competition. She was crowned by Miss Madison 2018, Katarina Thuy-Dan Nguyen of Lynnwood, Washington, and a UW-Madison Hospital doctor. Prior to pageant emcee Chelsea Lee Wasielewski announcing her as Miss Madison, Thompson was voted by the nine other contestants as Miss Congeniality.

Named as first runner-up was Hannah Marie Ostertag of Oshkosh, who sang "When You Were Young" by the American rock band The Killers. Former Miss Racine 2018, Jennifer Marie Schmidt of Racine was named second runner-up after performing a jazz dance to "Feeling Good."

The remaining seven entrants were Kristie Dantuma of Rockton, Illinois, Ciarra Renee Bullard of La Crosse, Hayley Wolfe of Portage, Chelsea Elizabeth Demos of Beloit, Brooke Doescher of Wisconsin Rapids, Stephanie Musch of Wisconsin Rapids, and Madelyn Hedrington of Chippewa Falls.

Good job by all and also new pageant director Tara Pizer Weigel, who honored Joe Neumaier, who organized the city pageant since 2008.
