I'm descended from Abraham SEVERS (ca. 1789-ca. 1856) and Hannah MANNING (1791-aft. 1881). Their son Samuel SEVERS (1819-1898) married Elizabeth HAGER (1822-1904) and they had a son named Benjamin Franklin SEVERS (1857-1913), who was born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. (By the way, some branches of the family changed the spelling of the name to SEEVERS and some left it SEVERS.) There is either some connection here to your Benjamin Franklin SEEVERS or it is sheer coincidence. There is some discussion of this Benjamin Franklin SEVERS in a book called HISTORY OF BUCKS COUNTY, but I don't have a copy of the book and don't know anything more about it than the title. I wish I could be of more help but wanted to share this little bit of information with you.

>Seevers and his father Nathaniel Forney Seevers.
>Lastly Nathaniels father was also named Benjamin
>Seevers. I was just wondering if anyone had heard of
>these seevers or not. Benjamin (nathaniels father) was
>born in Virginia. And Nathaniel was born in Iowa?
