Hi Carla,

I didn't seem to have a lot on John W. Seevers who married Luella (Ella) Flynn. Then I started to dig around a lttle and it became apparent that your grandfather Clarence Seevers (born in 1898) must be their son. This John W. Seevers is the son of Joseph J. Dotson Seevers and Matilda Smith.

In looking at the 1930 information that Mary Bateman provided it matches up with the 1910 census below given the two sons Clarence and Chester's ages.

The 1910 census for Lubeck District in Wood County, West Virginia and found the following:

John W. Seevers - Head - 33 years old
Luella Seevers - Wife - 29 years old
Clarence Seevers - Son - 12 years old
Nina Seevers - Daughter - 6 years old
Chester Seevers - Son - 3 years old

This census says that they were all born in West Virginia. For the record they were living closely to John's sister Phoebe and her husband Thomas Sager. Also living close to them is John's other sister Henrietta and her husband Edward Sams. Living with Henrietta was John's father Joseph Seevers. He was widowed by this time.

If you want more information on the parents and ancestral line of this John W. Seevers just go to:

I hope that this helps.
