The frequency group presents BEST OF SEVEN performing live at THE KNITTING FACTORY

Upcoming Event
www.bestofsevenonline.com

WHO: Radio-ready rock/pop outfit Best of Seven, comprised of Peoria, Illinois hellions, Shane Tassart (vocals, guitar) and Rob Wood (drums), and recently solidified with Los Angeles’ own Darrell ‘Dirty D’ Arnold (bass) and Joe Casey (lead guitar & vocals), are quickly hitting the Los Angeles live performance circuit in earnest.

Best of Seven’s Indian Summer EP heralds the arrival of a naturally gifted band that places as much emphasis on songwriting smarts as they do on flat out rock n’ roll. Though the album is set for release in April 2004, the band are exclusively offering Los Angeles fans the opportunity to sneak preview the new material in advance of the album release.

Don't miss this special live performance exclusively at the Knitting Factory, presented by The Frequency Group. Also performing with Best of Seven, will be Avenue of the Sun.

When: Tuesday, February 24, at 11:00 p.m. PST

Where: The Knitting Factory, 7021 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA

What: Best of Seven entered Cherokee studios in February 2004 with a collective mindset to faithfully (some might say obsessively) create an album that was equal parts trailer park and taking the piss on Park Avenue. Under the direction of the Robb brothers, Best of Seven pulled off the impossible – creating an EP that captures the chaotic power and emotion of their live shows. Vintage, warm wall of guitar; cannon-like drums; thick, full bass; and vocals that bend needles all set the stage for an EP that is as pure as the live experience.

The live performance demonstrates a passion for the energetic showmanship spawned from Cheap Trick and Marvelous 3, while maintaining the commercial sensibilities found in mainstream rock pop groups.

Best of Seven are not only one of the best new line-ups ever to place foot on monitor, each of the members brings to the project a built-in following:

Darrell ‘Dirty D’ Arnold – Well-known Music Program Director at WOKJ 97.1FM and WCKO 98 FM in Jackson, Mississippi. The low rider at the bottom end, Dirty D bleeds rock n’ roll and closes every show by throwing out his sought-after ‘I’m Dirty D – And You’re Not!’ custom bass picks.

Joe Casey – The man and the mind behind Superman, X-men, Batman, and the Incredible Hulk comic books - and an interviewer’s wet dream with a built-in pop culture audience. Six strings of attitude, Joe occasionally dons his Superman T-shirt during live gigs as a silent nod to his avid superhero-minded following.

Shane Tassart – Frontman Tassart, played his first show in 4th grade at the Peoria Elementary cafeteria, on a mission to discover if assless chaps were within school dress code. ‘Fraid not and he’s asked to leave. Shane is the face, the voice, and the boundless energy (and presently covers his ass at every gig).

Rob Wood – The maniac, show-stealin’ cartoonish ball of rhythmic mayhem, Rob is the master of the live performance.

When it comes to their live performance, Best of Seven have only three rules:

1.) Get comfortable
2.) Keep lubricated
3.) Enjoy the ride
