[ YAY!!!! 1400 WORDS!!! -cackles insanely- Lol... yay... clap for Hawaii, ^ ^ ]

Sweet
Liliha

Shuffling steps slid her rather small bodiance away from the brute, slightly taken aback by the offer... this was... different..odd..scary... surprising to say in the least. She'd avoided having to answer this question ever since she left Eccentric Rampage, and often times, in her runabouts, she'd had to flee the stags whom forced her to follow. Not really follow, but just flee from the nips as they guided her. She had been forced into a herd once, and escaped with the help of a resentful mare whom had been assaulted the same as Liliha. Liliha was eternally grateful, and eternally horrified.. Watching someone who helped you, get beaten and unmercifully killed, wasn't an ideal goodbye..

Simutaneously, her lacy audits lowered, not in a threat, just in a kind of worry and skiddishness. Something told her to go, to lead a normal life.... because hey, Sage had yet to show up... But another part of her, a much larger part, told her to stay. Her urge to reunite with her mother was far more dominating with her choice, oddly, then to settle down with a stag. She was perhaps one of the most complex little arabians that ny would ever meet. She was more of a wanderer, a roamer, a solitary female. She was not a male-hater, but preferred the company of a female. There was always the choice of the Amazons, but that was a choice in the future.. Now, by saying no, she would perhaps sound disrespectful to the brute she had known since so long ago. Frolicking beneath the massive forest canopy which was their home. Nipping each other with developing teeth and gums. Running beneath their maternals, and peeking out as if playing a game of hide and seek. Speeding off in hot pursuit of one another. Kicking up their hinds and letting their bodiances spasm with the joy of play. Rearing and trying in almost always futile attempts to balance. Snorting in mock annoyance and anger when they. Whinnying across the forest to one another. Ah yes, Liliha remembered those fond moments, where just for a split second, there was no worry in her mind. No fear of losing anything, or anyone.. No thoughts of her past. No thoughts of the future. She was living for the moment in that one little speck of time. And if Liliha thought back to those times of utter happiness, its like she's dead. It's like shes blind. Her mind, her soul, her spirit, her every essence had left her body. She was seeing herself. she was seeing what happened. She was seeing the events, both in and out of her body. Those were moments she truly cherished. Memories she would not forget. Times that would stay with her forever. Even if she never was able to experience the same euphoria again.

But, matching those same level of treasury with the memories, were her times with Sage. Liliha's fear, pride, joy, love, and understanding with the once bitter mare. She held the childish innocence that was the key to Sage's heart. Perhaps not at first. At first, all Liliha was to Sage, in Liliha's mind, was a burden, and a costly expence paid for with time and free-will. she had forced Sage to do it, and inside, Liliha was scared, and shameful she had done so. But still, everything faded away, when she was with Sage. When she looked up and locked gazes with her mother. When her little nares inhaled the sweet scent of her guardian matriarch. When the gentle touch of Sage's mug to her chassis was felt. Every doubt, fear, and thought gone wry, were left.. They simply dissipated, and allwas right. Everything was okay again, as long as she still had Sage at her side.

Now though, that was simply, and utterly impossible, or so it seemed in the moment. Sighing in the equine-way, which was an exhalation and a snort mixed together, her charcoal gaze was averted, lowered to study the soft hazy glint of a late dewdrop that held onto the luscious blade of emerald grass. A precious gem. A valuable source for life, and without it, one could die. Nourishment, which the frailly strong body lacked. Her exhausted frame nearly buckled to the floor again, her ooids slowly being hidden with the jerked closing opening of her lids. Sleep-deprived, thirsty, hungry, lonely, Liliha stood, despite the amazing odds that she should've fallen long ago. Her mind was steel, and her heart an even stronger gold that was soft enough to be molded by the gentle touch of a butterfly's hands and feet. She was Liliha, carrier of the arabian descent, and the child of the shadows, whom had so majorly altered her life to break free of the cruel life she had so unmercifully been born into. Daughter of Sage. Liliha, she would stay strong. She had made it this far, so what was the sense in giving up? Carrier of the Arabian descent, she would live up to the prestigious humbility of her breed. Child of the Shadows, she would do her best to carry on with her determination to keep her head up. Daughter of Sage. She would stay, she would wander in this Pasture, this meeting land, until her eyes found the crimson paintings of Sage. Until her nares smelled the far too familiar perfume of the mare. until her heart embraced the sweet caress of relief as they reunited. Until her spirit soared despite the beatings it was or had recooperated from. Until her ears heard the voice that had comforted her in times of great fear, longing, sadness, and doubt.

" I'm sorry General, but I can't leave. I'll stay here until I find Sage. But thank you.. It's nice to know I have someone to --"

Her voice, soft and exhausted, was cut off.. Her ooids searched.. and she found. Sage. She had heard and seen. Sage. She loved. Sage.

Seemed she wouldn't be staying long..

With a seemingly crippling jerk of her head, Liliha managed to move the exhaustion numbed limbs to balance her weight akwardly. The dullness in her eyes remained, even though the elation that spurted through her raggedness was unimaginably comforting. Better than food, better than water, better than the air that filled her very lungs. If she died in the next moment, she would be happy, almost. After she felt the touch, smelled the scent, returned the gaze of Sage. She would be happy. Everything was getting better. She had reached rock bottom, gone through hell and back. And everything was getting better. Her breaths were exasperated, getting heavier and heavier with the moment. Her ribs could be seen contracting, the small bumps of her spine visible to the naked eye beneath her once gleaming shadowed cloak. Burrs and thorns, leaves and dirt matted in small clumps in her once well-kept mane and tail. But Liliha took no notice of that. Because everything... was getting better.

In a weak, high-pitched, emotionally produced "mew", she returned the call, that even beneath the layers of unkown rasp, cold and sourness, there was at least a thread of the Sage that Liliha love and knew. Remembered. Her audits swiveled weakly atop her ragged crown, focusing solely in on the crimson form that made its way towards her. Sage. In her minds eye, Liliha saw the ragged crimson form of the old and "forgotten" sage. As she neared, her minds eye saw Sage. The crimson form had halted, and in a deafening silence, another deep mahogany chassis emerged, and with every heart string, Liliha cried, though tears did not leave her equine eyes. The inner Sage stepped back into her outer form, in a golden effervescence that easily surpassed the greatest ideals of beauty. In a reverberating quiet, the forms merged. 51% Lilihas Sage, now dominating over the solitary Sage. 49%. Sage was back, and all Liliha could do, was watch, and wait until she came. If she had the strength, she would've bounded instantly toward the only maternal she knew and loved aside from Sniper. Her will-power, in this case, was not enough to overcome the physical measures she had over-rode one too many times. All the stress she had put on her limbs. All the hurt she had outstanded. All the pain she had burdened herself with during the journey. All that. Everything was worth it. Because everything was getting better.
