A couple of quick points.

Based on operational experience the markings used on helmets by elements of the 82nd trended towards small subdued (i.e. not white) emblems. These were painted on the helmets and were not decals.

The "Ramapant lion", although classy looking in the opinion of many, was determined to be a lurative target for snipers and other folks shooting at members of the 505th.
