Subject: New Opportunity for "Living Historians" in Western WA

Hey Fellows!

Announcing a new opportunity for "living historians" in western WA.
The Rockford Military Museum (in Rockford, WA) is a fledgling organization set up by the sister of a WW2 vet, under the auspices of the Rockford Historical Society.
Recently, another player has joined the game (that would be me!) I am a recent escapee of Southern California, and worked with the California Historical Group (amoung them, WW2 Airborne, and WW2 & VN USMC Units), and am a past (and founding) president of the MIlitary Vehicle Owners of Orange County. I'm checking into the possibilities of tying reenactments in with the activities of an accredited museum.
Eventually we (a bunch of us up here) would like to field a re-enactment unit which recreates WW2 American and British Units, and even an IDF unit. We are still at the grassroots level, but would appriciate input and contacts as we start the long haul.
Also, I'm a 13 year vet of the USMC, and ran M2 .50s during my career, so if there's a need for education on the infantry variation of "Ma Duece", I would be happy to share.
I own a '67 M151A2 w/ ROPS (and trailer)as well as 1970-83 militaria, with plans to expand my collection with some WW2 vehicles.
So, this is my way of introducing myself, and letting you know that there's a friendly face in Rockford for reenactors, and I look forward to joining you in supporting the education of our citizens as far as the price warriors are willing to pay to keep our nation free!
Thanks to all for your willingness to share what you have learned and acquired, and I'll see you on the ground!

Semper Fi, and "All The Way!"
