Subject: Pvt John Steele post war years ?

Greetings, I am looking for some information about what became of 82 AB trooper John Steele, yes the paratrooper who landed on the St Mere Eglise church roof? I beleieve he was in the 505th? I believe he is deceased and did live in South Carolina ,but not sure. I did see a post card with him after the war in a gift shop on the square in St Mere Eglise. Can anyone fill in the missing links as to what he did after war and when did he pass away? He was being discussed on the Trigger Time forum , but no one had any info on him other than his service in Normandy. I am trying to find out if he did live in South Carolina and where he is buried ? Thanks for any help here .
