I have checked the roster of the 505 compiled by the 505 RCT Association and your father's name doesn't appear. Because he has credit for the Rome campaign, the likelihood is that he served with the 504th RCT. I am in the process of loading the roaters of the 504th RCT on my website www.allamerican82nd.com You can check it for his name.
