I think that Fritz is refering to the index to the General Orders (GO) for the 504th.

Every award such as a decoration like a Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart etc. woudl be covered in these. It would be nice if Fritz could provide the exact Date of the General Order in which PFC Ferguson was named.

I think its fairly safe to assume that he was in the 504th.
