Subject: George F. McDonald

I'm trying to find out if this trooper served in the 505th.The reason I think he may have been in this unit of the 82nd is because the unit citation ribbon on his uniform has a palm on it. My research shows that this was the only unit to receive two citations. Am I right or wrong? Any help finding info on him will be greatly appreciated. I was told that he jumped at Normandy but I haven't been able to confirm this. Thanks.
