Subject: Looking for info on My uncle John W. Ceffalo

I am looking for information on what battles my uncle fought in. He was 82nd airborne 505 PIR 3rd battalion during WWII. He received a Distinguished Service Cross. My 83 yr. old grandmother is looking for some information and cannot find any newspaper clippings or accounts of his journey. I think he was in Sicily in 1943...not sure?
Anyone familiar with him? Or if Anyone knows where I could get more information about him that would be great.
