Subject: armoured 82nd jeep

Hi,
One of my friends is restauring a vintage world war II jeep at the moment. (well i admit, most of my friends are. )
He wants to make an armoured jeep out of it, like they were used by the 82nd airborne in the Ardennes. Does anyone know how exactly the armour was made or has anyone seen some technical drawings on the net? The plan is to drive that jeep into the Ardennes in 2004 for the 60 years rememberance.
Thanx in advance,
Dirk
