I apologize for my earlier message, I was mistaken about where the radio parts came from. Robert does not MAKE the antenna toppers, they are NOS unused original parts. He doesn't have too many left, I was just lucky enough to contact him while he still has them and to also have the kind of radio they work with. He does make the straps for the back of the 611-series radios, which I also purchased (but was not wise enough to ask for the buckle...D'oh!), and I get the impression that he has a lot of other military radio components.

From my e-mails, it is pretty clear that you must know what you are asking for. No slam on him, but it's hard to explain in an e-mail that your "right-handed widget" is missing. I screwed up and asked for the wrong battery compartment lid screw and nut, but the one he sent worked just fine with a few minutes tinkering. The error was mine, not his.

I was pretty pleased to find out that the parts I paid for are the real thing, I think it makes my (now complete) BC-721A even more valuable that there are no repro parts on it.

Now, all I need to do is try to find a buckle for the strap, from what I have around the house. He does have the buckles, but I'm very impatient about these things, and I'm sure most of you would agree that the strap missing isn't nearly as bad as the antenna missing...

Does anyone have a clue how the strap is secured to the radio?
