Subject: Info on WWII soldier

My sister and I are looking for information on my grandfather, Dale Raymond Canfield, SN 36273918. We have found out that he was part of the G/505, 82nd Airborne Division during WWII. We cannot seem to find any information on him and so we were wondering if anyone out there might have served with him or knows someone who was also in the G/505. We did send off for his military records, but we received a letter saying that they haven't been able to locate them yet.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!
