Hero’s of Normandy, have been compiled from the memories and experiences of Normandy veterans and their families, these stories tell of the heroism the horror, and the humour, there are men who gave their lives so that others may live, there is death and destruction, the smell of rotting flesh, from dead animals and men, wounded men crying for their mother’s, then we have the lighter side, men cooking a pig in their tank, carrying dressed chickens on the turret of their tank.
