I would like to obtain any information about the life and death of my brother Vernon Francisco;"Red". He entered the 82nd 11/43, landed in N. Africa, Italy, Normandy; and finally killed in Belgium around 1/1945. He was awarded the Purple Heart, and posthumonusly the Bronze Star. We know little about his life and circumstances of his death and would love to learn anything we can to augment his wonderful place in our hearts. His best friend was Herchel Scalf.
