He was arrogant. but not stupid. and as luck would have it he had crested the hill, and no doubt the mare still followed close behind. he stood still and allowed the shaking of his limbs to be subdued by lack of use. lifting his pate from it's lowered plane he turns his head, slowly, languidly his body follows the action unti lthe brute turns about to face Self Inflicted Pain. palid coat is darkened and sleeked by sweat, but his breathing is steady and when he speaks it is qithout his usual loud forcefulness. leaving only quiet confidence and soft tones.

hesitation marked the stating of her name in it's shortened form. but the aura his words implied was concrete and sure. his gaze met hers levelly. had it been a personal matter the brujo would never even have uttered such a pronunciation. but this was so much bigger than him. so much bigger than all of them. and it was with wry humility that he lowered himself to ask aid. he knew what he would ask was not easy, or simple. and his cool impassive pallet was tinged with earnest.
