- - - - - - - - - - - - - A deep cleft in the ground obscured by a thick, intangibly opaque darkness is the first sight your eyes struggle to focus on. Vague contours of equine bodies are barely discernable from the ever-present curtain of black that coats the ravine like a shroud. Of course, all adjustment; all assimilation, comes with time. Cautious, you wade further into the abyss. Perhaps it is intrigue that fuels you, perhaps passion, perhaps hatred. But regardless of your motivation it suddenly becomes clear to you that the darkness is lifting, yielding to a brilliant light. The rift is awash with the effulgence of sun, and you are almost ashamed of the sense of irony that fills you. Two creatures emerge from a sheltered grotto, one blacker than pitch and one whiter than snow. Both somewhat detached, niether exactly cold. Although they make no suggestions of welcome, you feel you will be allowed to stay. I probably won't post anytime during the week for a long while, so don't expect me here on CM (though I may be on AIM.) I'm still trying to catch up on sleep and now I have rehearsals and baby-sitting jobs to boot. So, until I find more time... g'bye until the week-end! I would just like to point out, for those who didn't notice, that I've already said that I probably won't post during the week until rehearsals and such are over and done with.
