In reply to: Euripedes 's message, "Malussinn>>" on 11:39:34 01/19/03 Sun

Mutiny? The double-barred glance of the King avoided the grinning player who sat behind the keyboard strings- of course she knew of this and of course she had thought it funny not to inform him, to keep him ignorant. He restrained a sigh that would tell of all his frustration. Very well, a mutiny... he would have to prepare, he supposed.

"Of course, Euripedes. The services of yours and Perseus are indeed welcome." A gleaming dagger raises to snap irritably at the earth, the optics ignoring the errant dagger with disdain. Time then seemed to take the King in its hold, and he appeared to forget about the other stallion's presence as he drifted thoughtfully into a dark, infinite space that allowed him to stretch his mental capacities as he explored his potential in case of a battle. He didn't like what he saw, but then, he never had. Restraining a sigh, he removed himself from the relief of solitude that was invitingly offered by oblivion, to return his gaze to the wizard. "What do you suggest I do?" He asked of the stallion spontaneously, his stare suddenly piercingly as they attempted to burn into the other's mischievious pools.

Sera laisse' feu vif, mort cache',
Dedans les globes horrible espouuantable.
De nuict _ classe cit, en poudre lasch,
La cit, _ feu, l'ennemy fauorable.

Having not taken many steps since his entrance Syndic had mutely observed the spontaneaous meeting with intent. his auditives stopped their radar-like motions to focus attentively on it. tipping a lactescent mug into the wind the stallion inhaled the richly tainted aroma of the valley. concentration schooled his features and he turned, striding nose first toward the conversing pair. he allowed the voices to drone their words into his cerebrum whil he channelled some of his attention to carefully navigating the icy terra. as he drew nearer he sensed the warmth of equine forms, and halted his akward gait. tipping his pate to the heavens and his mug to the earth he llowed his body to settle comfortably into the positions his extremities had deemed safe. stygian hooves clung tenaciously, and almost stubbornly to the snow blanketed ground as he affixed hi boa in an artful arch. sinew characterized the ivory marble that was his hide. blinding locks hung nonchalantly along his boa, forelocks intruding without hesitation upon his range of vision. but indeed his irises had yet to lock upon the creatures he hear engaged in speech, and a milky blue tainted their surface. encompassing the world in a single unmoving glance he had no need to meet the eyes of these others.

but he took great interest in what was said. as was characteristic of his nature he neglected the polite bobbing of a head. merely imposing himself like a great niveous cloud upon the sun. asserting no words to the ongoing engagement he stood by in placid silence, observing in his own way. the chill winter breeze bit his dermis with greater determination than usual. troubling tidings they carried, these winds.

the distinction of a glazing over his eyes to signify lapse into thought failed to differentiate itsef from any other expression to touch him, but unmistakably he delved into the drowsy state with an advantage over others. how ironic that is.. an advantage wraught from a disadvantage. his ability to perceive the goings on and maintain a steady level of consciousness, brought about by his inability to visualise the goings-on. to recognize the shape and color of the speakers, the expressions they wore upon their pallets.

what was that? a mutiny they said. civil war is upon us. quel malheur. the snow-hued steed whickered lowly, the equal of a low-pitched whistle no doubt, that signified his surprise. and what will you do, Malussinn? to guard your throne?

There will be unleashed live fire, hidden death,
Horrible and frightful within the globes,
By night the city reduced to dust by the fleet,
The city afire, the enemy amenable.
