Psyche gained a cruel, pensive smile from the next territory over as she watched her mother's arrival with steel eyes. "And so the female pseudo-parent returns after a prolonged, dizzying night of liquor and dancing."

Grinning, the jaded filly began an ad-lib wildlife program after assuming a rather incongruous British accent. "This behavior is similar to that of the homing pigeon. Watch as the specimen retires to the nest."

A nasty pause ensued, in which Psyche's departure ended the privately melancholy satire.
