This is the perfect time to adopt a "miracle mindset".
A "miracle mindset" is one that chooses to see truly that love is in everything and everywhere, that God is our loving Creator and we are all His beloved children.
It gets activated every time it chooses to see the light radiating from Saddam Hussein, George Bush, Tony Blair...
recognizing each one as a brother in Christ. You say silently, "Let me know this brother as I know myself." (Text, page 72)).
It's the one you switch on when you read a newspaper article or receive TV/radio reports on SARS, and instead of panicking you just close your eyes, saying, "God did not create illness, such as SARS, and so it is not real." (Workbook Lesson 14).
It's the thought you summon when you enter a crowded place like a mall, and you think, "There is nothing to fear." (Workbook Lesson 48).
Actually, the miracle-mindset is what we each have, but our egos get in the way, trying to be poor substitutes for it, much like a pirated VCD can never match the quality of an original.
So...you needn't even have to adopt it. Just remember you already have it in you, and you simply have to turn it on.
Just say, "I am determined to see things differently. I want to see truly. I want miracles! I want to see that Love is all there is, that Love is also what I am, Love is what everyone is, Love is what we all are."
And the Light that powers your miracle mindset will shine a bit brighter than before...
and you will remember.
