It seems the 3 belief systems you mentioned here all sound alike!... but I generally share the same beliefs...

However, the public perception of these (New Age, New Thought) seems to be quite different. For one, an immediate connotation is the belief in Reincarnation. The funny thing is... I don't think Reincarnation is really of prime importance (to me or these belief systems). What matters is simply that the soul/spirit is immortal.

Many people also associate New Age with the paranormal stuff (bending spoons and what not), which again is just one "branch" of it and for me, is not a major focus of CWG-type and my beliefs.

New Thought, on the other hand, I associate with our friend T. and the group of George Sison (who actively use this term). I'm sure there are commonalities w/ the CWG-type spirituality but one focus of theirs is the "prosperity consciousness" and tithing. I am not really a big fan of tithing. (which is also done by Iglesia, Catholic Charismatic Communities, etc).

I guess its quite difficult to "define" a belief system because each person has different specific beliefs and focuses. Also because the public perceptions is different for each. That is one issue we and HVF face: how to call our belief? We don't want to use the term "New Age" or "New Thought" due to sometimes negative and/or misleading connotations by the public. We don't want to use "CWG-based" because we don't want to limit to one book/author. "Christian Science" limits to Christianity and Science connotes "Science of the Mind" or "Scientology".

Any suggestions?
