I keep a lot to myself as well. I had a reason for this, and yes, it is to maximize deep understanding – for people may stop in their self-exploration and decide that they already know. Some people get stuck in bewilderment or the idea of having power, when that is not the point. Some healers are actually more into having this power over others. It’s a fine line. We've heard of even well-known yogis faking it. We've heard of Catholic priests who commit child abuse. Check out www.religioustolerance.com and see how many sexually-related legal cases have been hurled at the Catholic church. The fine line has been overlooked time and time again.
I’m not crazy about new agey practices unless it is for the purpose of scientific analysis, if you know what I mean. That doesn’t mean that I haven’t “seen” things myself. I have. But I know that that’s not the point. I find more fulfillment in being able to fix my room, organize my life, and make people laugh. There’s more fulfillment in being able to relate with family members I have to relate with in order to get things done.
Experience is still the best teacher. Otherwise, it spoils the whole fun and excitement of living. No matter how modern times have become, we must find oneness first in our immediate surroundings, our families, friends and co-workers. We expect it to happen as fast as we search stuff through the internet. It doesn't. At least not for most people.
CWG and such books are merely triggers to what already exists in all of us, and it’s all a matter of style, language and readiness. Neale wrote for himself first. We all write for ourselves first. One just can’t fool himself into thinking that he is writing for others first. We write to satisfy our own desires. It is almost imperative for us to communicate.
What does CWG have to say, then? Neale did mention certain responsibilities attached to being able to “see” things in CWG Book 3. It won’t say anything more about it because that is not the point. The point is that whatever it is must bring us closer to the oneness of all things – as we interact, that is.
Notice that I have evaded the sights, sounds and smells of the otherworldly. In short, I'm evading the topic. Ha ha ha. When one plugs into a certain conciousness, and this person is into visualization and archetypes and images, this person dresses up this energy and calls them "guides". It's really no big deal, you see. Our internal guidance system acquired through a spiritual process is projected onto these images. This is probably because humans are used to working with the use of their physical senses and, in this case, the eyes. There is really nothing wrong with that, but at the same time, there's no big deal with that either. The big deal is that we have actually reached a point in a process where we can actually summon this part of ourselves to work stuff through with because the point is that we work out our own issues if not be more conscious of the fact that we are one.
Namaste,
Sandra
