Subject: my thoughts on the finale *spoilers*

O.k firstly i thought the epsiode was fantastic, the script was brilliant. People seem to making a big thing about Buffy sharing her power so that the potentials all over the world would become Slayers, and that this may been seen as forcing power upon them therefore not empowerment. Firstly i believe it's the responsibility of having that power that is important. And to be honest in reality would anyone refuse that kind of power!. Joss is setting this all up for the Spinoff with The Slayer academey , to teach the girls how to use their power responsibly in the fight against evil. Just to add a little bit more, the burden is not so much on just the one Slayer 'the chosen one', because there is now an Army of Slayers to be trained and fight a much more effective battle.

Btw , i really hope VI and Rona are in a Spinoff because both of them kicked major ass.

Vi and Rona as potential slayers. They were set up to pull off the role. Will the actresses still be around when a spinoff is put together?

At the end of Chosen, Willow and Dawn talk about finding all the newly empowered slayers. As long as the slayers are given choices, I'm ok with spreading the power. If some circumstance forces them into SIT school, that is another thing. The current crop of SITs in Sunnydale never had a real choice.

The SIT school spinoff appeals to me because AH and MT would fit so well, and their roles have been set up by the BtVS finale.
