You just have to be firmer and tell him No treats anymore. you could bring your own special low cal treats for him to give them, such as a rice cake, mine love these or a low cal treat YOU provide.
when I take Tony to do his therapy work, the older folks always want to feed him there treats. One lady opened up her drawer and asked if she could give him some meat scraps. First of all, it was in her drawer and was old. I asked her how old it was and she said about 4 days old. I said absolutley not. I give them treats to give him and reduce his food by a half a cup every time he goes to visit. maybe you could do something similar to. he's an old man and it makes his day to give them a goodie. He probably looks forward to there visits and loves to feed them...

I would just bring your own treat for him to give them and cut them back a bit in the mornings if your really that scared of them gaining weight, which is important do to there arthritic issues... at least they aren't mean to you and cal lyour dogs pit bulls like some of my neighbors are. one leady SCREAMED at me last week and told me to stop letting my dogs poop in her yard. I went off like a rocket showing her my poop bags and that I always clean up after my animals. she is a nasty old coot and I LET her have it after that comment. how dare her accuse me of this. I was so pissed at her. anyhow things could be a lot worse!!!
your lucky people love your kids so much but mcdonalds is not good for them, I agree.
