I have been meaning to e mail you all week, but have been so darn busy I have no time for anything these days. UGH!!!

How are you doing since O'S passing, I am so sorry you lost her, but she was really doing badly and the not being able to walk is really a serious condition which is so unfair to the animal.. sweetie you tried every medication known to help her arthritis and to allow her to stand up from laying down was getting impossible. You did so much for her and were sooo committed and dedicated to her health and well being, getting her up and down the stairs/ ramp had to be hard on you to, having to carry her out and to help get her up has to be a LOT of work for a frail little lady like yourself to so you have to think of yourself and your own medical ailments to, I was so worried you were going to break a bone or fall hoisting her around like you did for sooo long and she was not light, wasn't she like pushing 90 lbs?? .

I have a feeling when Tigs is in that bad of shape I will do the same thing be sending her to the rainbow bridge as hard as it will be I will do as you did, you are my mentor as you went above and beyond what most people would do for there dogs to keep them going... you are my hero BJ!! its so very hard as there mind is still there and there appetite and sprit is still there so its just such a hard decision to make I have never had to make that choice and I dread the day that I do!! I know Gary is going through this with Zack to. I hope the cart works well for him and that he can keep him going as long as possible to but its not sounding very good from what Gary posted last time. we try, try and try and you did a wonderful job taking care of this old gal, I am so sorry her time had come as its just heart breaking I know, I have lost 2 now in a few years and not a day goes by where I don't miss my catcher, and my Mac. But Catch was my baby. I miss that dog every single day of every minute. I get sick when I see his pictures, as I still feel so responsible for his death and I know had I not done that operation her would be here today. In my guy I new I should not do it and I new something was going to happen, I felt it all along and will go with my gut next time. rob forced me to have to make this decision with the TPLO and I will NEVER, EVER do that again to any animal. I will do the other traditional if I am forced to but not the TPLO, it killed my baby... ugh. tears again..

Tigra is a little miracle girl that is all I can say to you. she has her little episodes every day to every other day to some days several a day and other days none at all, I can tell when one is coming as she first looks like she wants to lay down and she circles and circles and try's to find a place to plop down before it happens. It happens often when she is just with me in the garden so I am not having her out there anymore. its a trigger as I think its just to warm, even in the shade under a tree.I have seen her go for my peonies beds, or into my black eyes Susan beds, and one time I caught her digging up my bulbs, tulips to lay in. I only let her on the grass now on cool days or early in the AM as she try's to go into my beds before the episode comes, and this is a big No, No.... several times I have had to carry her in the house as she can't walk until they pass./ she also gets confused and gets really stubborn about laying down, she try's to stand up and than ends up falling over. we tell her Tigra, Lay down, and she will not do it. she is such an old coot STUBBORN oh like you would not believe, she is just being Tigra. so we lay her down. she is so funny still, still is the Queen of the bed, and house and is so quite, gentle and loving, only wanting a warm nest to snuggle up in and good meals. she has become a real food hound, I mean she hounds me in the mornings for her special chicken strips I buy her, she will go as far as to pick up the container I keep them in and stalk it. she begs and drools and stairs at it until I give her one, sometimes it gets so obnoxious we have to say TIGRA GO LAY DOWN, NO MORE, NO MORE, NO MORE. she is so hungry all the time. I let her eat what she wants as she never gains a pound and never goes over 68lbs, god bless my old gal. thanks for asking, so far so good, but she still has the seizures and the falling down episodes but gets back up quickly and is rearing to go she has another vet apt next month and I am in contact with her heart doc for updates and videos of the episodes so I am doing the very best I can for her. we seem to notice if she gets to hot she will have one, if she gets excited, stressed, or if we have company, human or fur that excites her she has them more often I try to limit the dogs I have over to play by keeping her inside. Tony needs the interaction and the exercise and he loves having his play dates so we will do that again soon. tigs just can't be apart of it ...we try and keep a really quite house for her and low stress.., but I have a few visitors coming this summer so she will have to deal with it as robs dad is coming, my 2 girl friends might be coming, my sister and her kids are coming, and possibly your coming to? its still up to you so just let me know when is good for you... thanks for asking about her, sorry for the book but I have been really behind in e mailing you... I hope you are well and are doing okay with your own ailments e mail me about that and about the ticker dr you saw. do you think you might get another boxer girl for Mooch? Maybe another 8 or 9 year old would be hard to pass up as they are hard to place and sometimes never find forever homes. look, tiggy is pushing 12 so there is hope for our kids to live a long healthy life.... Ms. O was over 13 or 14 I think but because she was a mixed breed boxer husky mix, they do tend to live longer than a pure bred would so maybe you can find another boxer mixed girly girl.. also 2 males do well together if you get the right temperaments together. With a boxer mix, they don't always have that goofy, silly boxer head and those chops you can grab and tug on, its just not the same boxer mug, but there still so darn cute. I have seen some boxer mixes who really don't look like they have any boxer in them but we know they do as we saw the mom so we know, but a lot of shelters say Boxer mix, and there usually all Pit bull mixes as its very hard to tell as a puppy what there breed is... but a boxer mix might be a good option. I am going to look on petfinders.or for you, that is the BEST place to find a dog.. hugs, love you, Lisa
