Munsen will be 2 years old in August. He was bought as a pup by a young man in Vermont. When Munsen was a few months old he dumped Munsen on his parents. The parents had a small fluffy dog that got all the attention, all the food and all the attention. Poor Munsen was left with irregular feedings, no attention and was left in a crate for up to 20 hours a day.

A couple of months ago the parents called the vet clinic where his foster mom worked. They said they wanted to rehome Munsen since their son decided he no longer wanted him. The clinic started looking for a rescue foster home, but before they could find one the couple called back and said either take him or we are going to dump him at the local animal shelter [high kill facility]. The clinic said to bring him right over.

It was discovered that Munsen had never been neutered [he was cryptorkid [sp] and was very, very thin. They neutered him, gave him all his shots, and when they wormed him he started with diarrhea. He is now on prescription food and meds to stop the diarrhea.

The day Tiger went to the bridge I was talking to EBBie's first mom and told her to start looking for me. EBBie was already lost and at that point Tiger had only been gone a few hours. Through her rescue, Sandy heard about Munsen [he was previously known as Cyrus].

Munsen's vet-tech foster mom and I corresponded a few times and when Deb sent pictures I was sunk. It took me a few days to get the crate and work out the logistics for me to pick him up.

The day I picked him up we met in a parking lot near Woodstock Vermont. Upon introduction Munsen immediately began giving kisses and climbed straignt into the Jeep with no hesitation. When we got home he marched into the house like he owned it and has been settled every since.

He is physically taller then EBBie but is very thin and has very little muscle tone. So the plan now is to find the diet that will allow firm poop, put weight on him and let him add play muscle to fill him out.

I hope to get some better pics outside this weekend. He is very difficult to photograph indoors.

Hugs
