Subject: I don't have a well-reasoned thoughtfThe simplistic, corny ending was flat, uncreative and disappointing. ~>

No one even died.

There does not seem to be any quality grist to work with for future intrigues. Just the same old, chewed over stuff we could all write on our worst days.

Stavros falling into the bottomless space meant nothing - he can return at any point. Luke's comment that it was ironic Stavros died BOTH times and Luke's face was the last he saw implied that Stav won't die this time either.

Helena will escape either physically and go into hiding, or legally and resume her life.

Stefan has been rendered totally impotent, having been strapped to a chair without a struggle for the duration of this boring story. Thank goodness he maintained his keyboards skills or he would have had no role whatsoever in this thing.

The women...Laura did seem to display a tiny bit of grit - but I would havae preferred that she and not Scottie drag Luke up out of the bottomless space.

As a long-time fan,I was actually bitter over the lousey writing and total lack of integration throughout Stavros' return from the dead. The ending was so stupid and unimaginative,I couldn't believe it. Watching people do a slow stroll through the maze was not exactly breath-taking. The actors were obviously as bored as I was;there wasn't one response from a performer that seemed even remotely engaged. Stephen Nichols was so badly wasted, yet again, that if he stays with this turkey of a show,I'll be stunned. He deserves so much better. I also have to say that I saw very, very little spark between Luke and Laura, and they could have phoned in their performances for the most part. I think I'll probably leave the show on,as background noise, for the time being. I guess I'm hoping that one day I'll overhear dialogue that captures my imagination and emotions, and I can actually look at the screen again. There are so many well-written,creative shows on anymore..granted,most in prime-time,but I doubt that good writers are not available to daytime. The conclusion of the Spencer-Cassadine wars should have been exciting and left no holds barred, but this war ended with a definite whimper. If I thought TPTB could read,I'd write them a letter, but I don't think I'll waste my time.
