Subject: and when the flood gates open...

groans and leans against the door, pressing my forehead against the wood while trying to regain my composure... finally decides that I'm together enough and turns around to see Rav passed out in bed... smiles softly and quietly moves to the closet to put away his pack, squinching up my nose and tossing out his ragged clothing, leathers and all... opens the doors and hangs it on the hook there, stopping and looking twice as something catches my eye... kneels down in front of the closet, the small ornately carved wood box hidden purposefully under the boots and slippers there... sighs and pulls it out, knowing the box by feel alone... slowly opens the lid to reveal the crushed blood red velvet lining that cradles one thing alone - My jhambhiya... chokes back a soft sob, slim fingers curling around the sheathed Honor Blade and lifting it... closes my eyes, remembering everything that has happened, my sister gone - the only other weilder of this blade... clutches the blade in my hands and up against my chest, the sobs finally coming after being held back so long...
