You are dissing Maquis Kat because you don't like her subject matter. That is your moralistically boring opinion. Her writing isn't bad at all.

You praise D. Kent, who headhops POV like a table tennis match. Her subject matter is more palatable to many, but her *writing* isn't as good.

Godawful has never been about subject matter. Godawful is about crapfic, crap writing, and poor command of English.
