I agree, that the original post SHOULD have contained a spoiler warning, and I can see why it would irritate people who avoid movie spoilers like the plague.

But on the other hand, I can also see why someone would not think of the statement 'Saruman not in ROTK' as being a spoiler, and certainly not a major one. Most LotR fans I know are book-fans first and movie-fans second; it's only with the uber-hardcore movie fans that I know better than to make even a vague mention of a spoiler to. With everyone else, something like 'Saruman not in ROTK' wouldn't even occur to me as BEING a spoiler. So I wouldn't think twice about it.

Calling Kirjava a selfish prick over it was way out of line. I doubt very seriously that they posted that with the malicious intent of deliberately and knowingly ruining a movie for you or anyone else. No, a "selfish prick" description would only be appropriate if Kirjava had gone to a board where it was known that all the members were diehard movie fans who were also adamantly anti-spoiler.

But the point is, while I can understand your frustration, it's just not really that big a deal. It was most likely an honest mistake. You reacted as though it was a crime against humanity. Having books or movies ruined for you in whole or in part is not fun, I know. But LIFE GOES ON, and if it doesn't, you obviously have underlying issues that aren't Kirjava's fault or problem.

There are far better things in life to get upset over than a spoiler which was probably NOT thought of as a spoiler by anyone but you. Get irritated, deal with it, and MOVE THE FUCK ON. Kirjava's not the Anti-Christ and the spoiler did not bring on the Apocolypse.
